8 Million Tons Of Excavated Waste Is Disposed Of Every Month In Istanbul

8 million tons of excavation waste per month is disposed on the excavation areas belonging to Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. Excavation wastes in Istanbul, which amount to about 8 million tons per month, are disposed of on the excavation areas belonging to Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. Among the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality associations, 11 active excavation areas are provided, 7 on the European side and 4 on the Anatolian side, which are operated by ISTAC. The occupancy rates of excavation areas, which have a total capacity of 85 million tons, can easily meet daily excavation records.

According to a statement made by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), excavation wastes, which amount to 8 million tons per month in Istanbul, are disposed of in excavation areas belonging to the municipality. Among the IMM subsidiaries, 11 active excavation areas are provided, 7 in the European side and 4 in the Anatolian vicinity, which are operated by ISTAC. The occupancy rates of excavation areas, which have a total capacity of 85 million tons, can easily meet daily excavation records. In addition, 60 million tons in Europe and 5 million tons in the vicinity of Anatolia, new excavation areas continue to work in service.
