TurkStat Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) announced the residential sales statistics for June, 2017. Accordingly, home sales in Turkey in June 2017 decreased by 8.1 percent compared to the same month of the previous year was 97 thousand 579. In residential sales, Istanbul had the highest share with 18,4 percent sales in 17 thousand 970 houses. According to the sales figures, İzmir was followed by Ankara with 10.160% housing sales, Ankara with 6,034 housing units and 6.2% share with 10.4% share.
The number of residential sales was low in Hakkari with 2 houses respectively, Ardahan with 20 houses and Bayburt with 31 houses. In Turkey, mortgaged home sales decreased by 3.2 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and reached 35 thousand 210.
The share of mortgage sales in total housing sales was 36.1 percent. During the mortgage sales, Istanbul received 6,993 housing units and the first order with 19.8 percent share. Artvin was the largest share of mortgage sales in total housing sales with 56.1 percent.
Other residential sales in Turkey decreased by 10.7 percent compared to the same month the previous year was 62 thousand 369. In other housing sales, Istanbul ranked first with 11.7% housing sales and 17.6% share. The share of other sales in total housing sales in Istanbul was 61.3 percent. Ankara was second with 5 thousand 981 other housing sales. İzmir followed with the sale of 3,684 houses in Ankara.
