It was noted that the Environmental Impact Assessment process started by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanism related to the Coastal Regulation and the Sea Plans project planned by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality in Üsküdar.
Environmental Impact Assessment Process Started
Within the scope of the Üsküdar Coastal Regulation and Sea Plans project planned by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, the Ministry announced the start of the Environmental Impact Assessment process. The statement made by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanism on the subject is as follows; “The file submitted to the Istanbul Governor’s Office regarding the Üsküdar Coastal Regulation and the Sea Plans project planned by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality in Üsküdar district of Istanbul city was examined and found appropriate in accordance with Article 17 of the Regulation on the Environmental Impact Assessment of the PTD File and the Environmental Impact Assessment The process has begun. It is announced to the public.”
Contents Of The Üsküdar Coastal Regulation Project
The project covers the 500-meter section from Ahmediye Square in the Üsküdar bazaar to the sea. Thus, the square area covering the use of the beach and the park will reach 125 thousand square meters. Marmaray Station entrance and from the part of the installation buildings to the sea will be arranged as the district Square.
Within the scope of Üsküdar Square and Coastal Regulation Project in Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Assembly, the area between historic Kuşkonmaz (Şemsi Paşa) Mosque and Üsküdar Pier was filled with the “staking system” and the proposal for the development of the viewing terraces was approved and the process started.
