The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) announced the housing price index for September 2017.
HKFE (2010 = 100), which was calculated in order to monitor the observable properties of the houses in Turkey over time and to monitor the price changes adjusted for quality, was realized at 210.42 in September, increasing by 0.69 percent compared to the previous month. HKFE, which increased by 9.64 percent compared to the same month last year, decreased by 1.40 percent in real terms in the same period.
When the developments in the hedonic house price indexes of the three major provinces are evaluated, in September of 2017, an increase of 0.19, 0.38, and 1.36 respectively in Istanbul, Ankara and İzmir was observed compared to the previous month. The index values increased by 5.71 percent, 7.58 percent and 16.77 percent respectively in Istanbul, Ankara and İzmir compared to the same month last year.
In September, the Housing Price Index (KFE) increased by 0.63 percent compared to the previous month and reached 246.05. KFE increased by 11.14 percent compared to the same month last year. Unit prices, which are calculated as housing value per square meter, rose to 2,19,445 liras in September.
Square meter prices in three large cities
When the unit prices of three big cities, which are calculated as housing value per square meter, are examined, it is seen that 3,781,38 TL in Istanbul, 675,20 TL in Ankara and 2 thousand 555,21 TL in İzmir.
