Turkey Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the June 2017 Housing Sales Statistics. According to the said released data, housing sales in Turkey decreased by 8.1 percent in June compared to the same month of the previous year and reached 97579. Following are the ranking categories of provinces both in terms of semiannual housing sales in the first six months of 2017 and also of housing sales in Jume 2017:
The First Three Ranked Provinces
Housing sales champion in June 2016 was Istanbul with 17970 housing sales. Ankara and Izmir followed Istanbul with 10160 and 6034 housing sales, respectively. 114356, 73119, and 40339 number of houses were sold in the same cities in the first six months of 2017, respectively.
The Second Three Ranked Provinces
The order of provinces in terms of housing sales both in June 2017 and in the first six months of 2017 from the province, where the fourth most number of sales have been completed to the least was as follows:
Antalya with 4253 sales in June and 28827 half yearly
Bursa with 3928 sales in June and 27010 half yearly
Kocaeli with 2865 sales in June and 18855 half yearly
7th and 8th Ranked Provinces
7th and 8th provinces in terms of housing sales in June 2017 have been Adana and Mersin, with 2787 and 2617 sales, respectively, whereas 7th and 8th provinces in terms of housing sales in the first six months of 2017 have become reversed and thus Mersin became the 7th and Adana became the 8th with 17243 and 15437 sales, respectively.
Provinces Those Ranked the Last
Hakkari has been ranked the last both in terms of housing sales in June 2017 with a sales of only 2 houses and in terms of houses sold in the first six months of 2017 with a sales of a total of 34 houses.
