Kenan Evren Barracks Have Been Transferred To The Marmara University

With the protocol signed between the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of National Defense, the Housing Development Administration and the Marmara University, Kenan Evren Barracks land was transferred to the Marmara University in the settlement of Halkali, Bahçelievler and Nişantaşı settlements of TOKİ. In addition, the buildings and facilities to be built in the new settlement will be made by TOKI.

Marmara University President Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Arat stated that they carried out the greatest project of the history of Marmara University with the acquisition of Kenan Evren Barracks and stated that "The Marmara will be constructed in the land where the revolution is carried out and a new era will be established in the Turkish higher education system.

The new campus, where all aspects of the vision of the third generation university will be passed down, will have a modern infrastructure that will enable all academic activities to be carried out with the most advanced technologies. Technopark; A model campus will be constructed with AR-GE laboratories, educational units, congress center, culture-arts and sports facilities, social spaces, student residences, guest houses, recreational areas and other scientific and social facilities.

New campus, which will provide integrated services with Marmara University Health and Education Campus, which is the most developed of Turkey in its field, will be a regional science, education and research center serving the whole Marmara region with its excellent geographical position and advanced transportation facilities.
