The Construction Sector in Turkey Grew 1.7 percent

‘The Structure Industry Center ‘which continues to be the information center of the structure world for 48 years in Turkey, has explained the last quarter datas of the Turkish Structuring Sector Report of 2015. All the construction expenses reached to 175 billion TL.

In 2015, the public construction expenses increased 8,4 percent while the private sector decreased 1,2 percent.
The Structure Industry Center (YEM) ,which publishes regularly for 21 years the report of the Turkish Structuring Sector and updates 4 times a year in each quarter period the secondary reports and comments about the dynamites of the sector also has updated the last quarter datas and explained the 2016 first quarter datas.

According to the report, the Turkish economy has increased in total 4 percent and in the 4th quarter of 2015 got the increase to 5.7 percent. Despite that, the construction sector which is seen as the lokomotive of the Turkish economy increased just in a 1,7 percent rate. The construction sector’s growth in the 4th quarter was recorded as 5,4 percent.
The public construction expenses which have a big role in this growth has increased 8,4 percent in 2015 compared to the previous year. The reason why the growth happened especially just in public construction expenses in the last 3 quarters is tought to be the 2 general elections which were in the 2nd half of 2015. The biggest shareholder to increase the construction expenses were the expenses in public construction increase in 2015.

According to the report, from 2014 on,the housing sales continued in a record level, despite that,the construction materials industry redounded to a 19,8 rate in 2015. The production of the construction materials industry increased just 0,8 percent in a limited way in 2015.
